About This Article
African AI founders with a working product and early commercial traction have a new opportunity to accelerate growth through the Askya AI Growth Platform 2026.
The six-week program, operated by Askya Investment Partners in partnership with Moonshot by TechCabal, is designed for African startups where artificial intelligence is central to the product itself—not simply an added feature.
The program is free to participate in and requires no equity, warrants, or fees for admission. Selected companies receive structured growth support, access to experienced founders and operators, corporate introductions, cloud and compute resources, and other startup-building tools.
What Selected Startups ReceiveThe Askya AI Growth Platform is focused heavily on execution. Participating startups receive:
- Six weeks of focused growth support
- Weekly one-on-one coaching
- Workshops and masterclasses
- Access to founders who have built companies valued at more than US$100 million
- Corporate pilot and partnership introductions
- Cloud and AI infrastructure, including GPU access through ecosystem partners
- API, legal, design and talent-related partner benefits
- Public exposure through Moonshot by TechCabal in Lagos
Askya says the objective is to help founders strengthen their technology and governance, move closer to product-market fit, and build a repeatable growth engine.
Up to US$200,000 in Potential InvestmentOne of the most significant aspects of the program is the potential funding opportunity.
Participation itself is zero-equity, but Askya may subsequently make an equity investment of up to US$200,000 in a promising startup from the cohort. Participation does not require a company to accept investment, and selection for the accelerator does not guarantee funding.
That distinction makes the program especially attractive to founders who want access to high-level growth support without immediately giving up equity simply to join an accelerator.
Who Should Apply?Askya is looking for startups that meet several key criteria:
- AI is core to the company’s value proposition
- The startup has a live product
- There is at least one paying customer or active commercial pilot
- The company is based in Africa
- The business is between MVP stage and Series A
- The founding team can commit approximately three to six hours per week during the program
Only 10 startups are expected to be selected for the cohort.
Important DatesApplications close September 30, 2026.
The cohort is scheduled to be announced October 15, with the six-week program running from October 26 through December 4, 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications may have an advantage.

For African founders building serious AI companies, this is one of the more targeted opportunities currently available: the program is not simply looking for startups that use AI somewhere in their workflow. It is specifically designed for companies where AI is fundamental to what they sell.
