Thinking North seeks high growth potential companies whose businesses address significant issues. Our focus is in the technology space, although we welcome submissions from businesses across a wide range of industries. We consider both private and public companies in various deal stages. INVESTMENT PROCESS: The investment process begins when the entrepreneur presents their business to the investment community at a bi-monthly Thinking North event. A group of panelists evaluate the presentations and ask follow-up questions. In addition to the investment panel, members of the Thinking North community attend. Virtually all of the attendees are investment professionals, business owners, and executives. Thinking North is unique in its capacity to provide entrepreneurs with access to an incredibly wide base of potential investors, as well as an opportunity to connect with business leaders. Prior to and following the presentation round, there is a round of networking where the investment professionals and entrepreneurs can connect. Before the end of the evening, each company receives feedback in form of a score with regards to the quality of their presentation and business case. If there is interest, Thinking North contacts the company following the event, thus beginning the process that will lead to funding.
