RELATIONSHIP

Trust, value, love and respect,

You say I display neither, and all I do is neglect.

Your wants, your desires, your wishes, and your concerns,

Opportunities have been plentiful, but you say I will never learn.

To be your comforter, your companion, your shelter in the rain,

Throughout my acts of defiance and ignorance, I have caused you great pain.

Your goals and my goals are not on the same track,

Instead of communicating with each other, all we do is react.

To every question, every suggestion, without seeking the fact,

I was supposed to be in your corner and you was supposed to have my back.

Something happened, what has changed? I don’t know what went wrong,

I recall the expression on your face today, when they played our favorite song.

The smile and the desire, that it used to bring on you face,

Has turned into a look of sorrow, resentment, and distaste.

As for as me and our relationship, can it possibly be saved,

You said I didn’t care about your feelings, and for you I never gave.

Up any pleasures or sacrifices, or anything that I wanted to do,

You said that I thought of only one person, and that person wasn’t you.

With all that has been said, where do we go from here,

Take care my dear, I love and want  you, but if you wish, I will disappear.
