Hosted by the York Entrepreneurship Development Institute (YEDI), Innovation Bridge is a one-of-a-kind experience designed to transform entrepreneurial potential into real-world impact. This hybrid certificate program combines cutting-edge business education, hands-on mentorship, and international exposure to some of the world’s leading startup ecosystems.

For the program’s top entrepreneurs, Innovation Bridge provides an unforgettable opportunity: a fully funded trip to Israel (December 8–22, 2025, tentative dates).

During this mission, participants will engage with globally recognized ventures and organizations including:

Program Eligibility

The Innovation Bridge Program is designed for young entrepreneurs aged 18–35 who are ready to scale their ideas. Applicants should:

• Be founders or co-founders of a venture.

• Have a unique and innovative idea in the seed, early, or growth stage.

• Come from any industry—YEDI is sector agnostic and welcomes applications from across fields.

Hybrid Learning for Maximum Flexibility

All courses and workshops are conducted in YEDI’s hybrid classroom format, allowing participants to engage from anywhere while still benefiting from in-person collaboration.

Curriculum Components

1. Sessions

Weekly sessions, led by YEDI professors and instructors, give participants a foundation in key areas of entrepreneurship, including:

• Business theory and economics

• Marketing and sales strategies

• Business modeling and development

• Finance and fundraising

• Communication and leadership skills

These sessions move beyond theory, emphasizing real-world application—preparing entrepreneurs to transform vision into execution.

2. Mentorship

Each month, entrepreneurs will take part in roundtable mentorship sessions with seasoned leaders from diverse industries. These sessions provide:

• Problem-solving strategies

• Networking opportunities

• Exposure to renowned Canadian and Israeli entrepreneurs (joining both remotely and in-person)

Interested applicants must submit the following through the Innovation Bridge application portal:

• Personal information (name, age, email, etc.)

• Venture details (name, stage, industry)

• A quick bio of founders and co-founders

• A one-sentence pitch describing the product/service and value proposition

• A brief description of past entrepreneurial experiences and achievements

• A reflection on one transformative failure

• A statement of intent describing why they want to join Innovation Bridge and what milestones they aim to achieve

Applicants must also confirm their willingness to travel to Israel in December if selected.

A Non-Vocational Program

The Innovation Bridge is a non-vocational program and does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
