Canada’s startup ecosystem continues to flourish, offering ambitious founders access to mentorship, capital, and networks that can transform ideas into scalable businesses. Among the premier programs for early-stage entrepreneurs is TiEQuest, Toronto’s 10-week accelerator and pitch competition designed to help Canadian startups go further, faster. With up to $100,000 in prizes available for top performers, TiEQuest combines intensive mentorship, workshops, and pitch opportunities with access to a global network of investors and industry leaders, enabling startups to refine their product-market fit, accelerate growth, and prepare for international scale.
TiEQuest is not just a competition—it’s a launchpad for ambitious founders. Through the program, participants gain hands-on guidance in validating their business ideas, identifying target markets, and positioning their startups for long-term growth. Over the past 20 years, TiEQuest has helped hundreds of Canadian startups secure investors, refine their products, and access new markets. Now in its 21st year, TiEQuest 2026 builds on this legacy by offering an enhanced focus on product-market fit (PMF), giving founders the tools to achieve measurable progress faster.
Unlike traditional pitch competitions, TiEQuest emphasizes growth, mentorship, and practical guidance. Participants do not just compete—they build. The program leverages TiE’s international network, connecting Canadian founders with top-tier investors and ecosystem leaders in Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, and India, creating opportunities for global expansion.
TiEQuest is open to Canadian startups at any stage that demonstrate strong growth potential and a scalable business model. Entrepreneurs seeking to refine their ideas, test market viability, and gain exposure to global investors will find TiEQuest an ideal platform. The program is structured to support both early-stage and more developed startups, ensuring each participant receives personalized mentorship and guidance relevant to their business.
TiEQuest 2026 is structured into four intensive phases that take startups from idea validation to final pitches before a live audience of investors and industry leaders.
Phase 1 – Workshops & Mentorship
All selected startups participate in a series of interactive workshops led by experienced founders, investors, and ecosystem partners. Key topics include:
Customer discovery and product validation
Go-to-market strategies
Business planning and fundraising
Storytelling and pitch delivery
In addition to workshops, founders are paired with expert mentors who provide one-on-one feedback, ensuring personalized guidance tailored to the unique needs of each startup. This phase emphasizes practical application, helping founders test assumptions, validate product-market fit, and build a robust foundation for growth.
Phase 2 – Elevator Pitch Round
Startups that demonstrate promise in Phase 1 advance to the elevator pitch round. Here, participants present a concise, compelling pitch to a panel of judges, highlighting their startup’s value proposition and market potential. The most promising companies are selected to move forward, gaining:
Intensive one-on-one mentoring
Refinement of market positioning
Validation of problem–solution fit
Entrepreneurs pitch again after this focused mentoring round, ensuring they are well-prepared for the subsequent stage of the program.
Phase 3 – Business Plan Round
Startups advancing from the elevator pitch round receive deep-dive mentoring tailored to their business needs. This phase focuses on:
Strategic business planning
Product-market fit acceleration
Preparing a comprehensive pitch for the judging panel
From this stage, three finalists per stream (Med-Tech and General) are selected to compete in the TiEQuest Summit 2026 Finals, representing the top-performing startups in the program.
Phase 4 – Finals at TiEQuest Summit 2026
The Finals are the culmination of the TiEQuest program. Finalists pitch live to an audience of investors, mentors, and global partners at Canada’s premier startup summit. This stage provides unparalleled visibility and an opportunity to win cash prizes totaling up to $100,000, alongside other strategic benefits, including investment opportunities and global exposure.
TiEQuest 2026 rewards top performers not only with cash prizes but also with strategic opportunities to accelerate growth and attract investment.
Top 6 Finalists: Represent Canada at TiE Silicon Valley’s TiE 50, gain a chance to be featured on Meet The Drapers, and participate in TiECon 2026.
Top 6 Winners: Unlock further investment opportunities through TiE’s global network.
All Participants: Receive a complimentary 1-year TiE Toronto & TiE Global Associated Charter Membership, granting access to mentorship, events, and investor networks worldwide.
The availability of up to $100,000 in prizes underscores TiEQuest’s commitment to empowering founders with both recognition and the financial support needed to scale their ventures.
Participating in TiEQuest provides founders with a comprehensive toolkit to accelerate their startup journey. Benefits include:
Idea Validation & Product-Market Fit: Test business models, assess market sizing, and refine competitive strategies with guidance from experienced mentors.
Sales & Marketing Mastery: Tailored coaching for B2B sales strategies or consumer/SMB growth experiments.
Pitch like a Pro: Develop storytelling and presentation skills to captivate investors, partners, and potential customers.
Access to an Exclusive Network: Connect with investors, mentors, and entrepreneurs in Canada, Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, and India.
Visibility & Recognition: Gain exposure to top investors and industry leaders, positioning your company among Canada’s most promising startups.
Over the past two decades, TiEQuest has helped launch numerous successful Canadian startups. The program’s alumni include founders who have raised significant funding, scaled globally, and built impactful companies. Past speakers and mentors such as Joanna Griffiths (CEO, Knix), Prashant Matta (Partner, Panache Ventures), Jack Newton (CEO, Clio), and Michelle Romanow (Executive Chairman, Clearco) provide guidance, inspiration, and expertise, ensuring that every participant receives actionable insights to grow their startup.

Web Summit Vancouver has long been recognized as one of the world’s leading technology conferences, bringing together innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs from across the globe. Among its many programs, PITCH stands out as the ultimate startup competition for early-stage ventures seeking visibility, mentorship, and funding. PITCH provides a platform for the world’s most promising startups to showcase their products and ideas on a global stage, competing for recognition and investment in front of influential investors and industry leaders.
PITCH is a startup competition hosted at Web Summit Vancouver that highlights early-stage companies from across the globe. The program is specifically designed for ALPHA and BETA startups exhibiting at the conference that have received less than CA$5 million in funding to date and have maintained a consistent business model over the last three years. By providing a stage to demonstrate innovation and scalability, PITCH allows startups to gain exposure, feedback, and connections that can accelerate their growth.
The competition is renowned for its rigorous selection process and high-profile judging panel, making it one of the most prestigious opportunities for emerging startups to make an impact in the tech ecosystem.
Startups interested in participating in PITCH must first submit an application through the official Web Summit Vancouver website. All applications are reviewed and assessed by a dedicated review committee, which evaluates startups based on factors such as innovation, market potential, scalability, and overall impact.
From all applications, 35 startups are selected to participate in the next stage of the competition. These startups are then given the opportunity to prepare their pitch deck and refine their delivery, gearing up for a five-minute presentation on the PITCH stage at Web Summit Vancouver. This stage is where the competition truly comes alive, with startups presenting their ventures in front of an audience of investors, global partners, and industry leaders.
For participating startups, PITCH is more than just a competition—it is a comprehensive growth experience. Selected startups receive guidance on how to craft compelling pitch decks, communicate their value proposition effectively, and capture the attention of investors and partners. Preparing for PITCH pushes entrepreneurs to clearly articulate their vision, business model, and market strategy in a concise and persuasive manner.
Once on stage, startups face an independent panel of investors and global partners who evaluate each pitch for its innovation, market viability, and potential for growth. The stakes are high, and the experience is intense, but the rewards are substantial. Being selected for PITCH alone positions a startup as a global contender and opens doors to networking, partnerships, and potential investment.
The 2025 PITCH competition showcased a diverse array of startups from multiple sectors, demonstrating the breadth of innovation represented at Web Summit. Notable winners included:
AVEE HEALTH – Healthtech & wellness
Certifi AI – AI & machine learning
eeva – SaaS solutions
Fuse Power Management – Energy & utilities
Glüxkind – Hardware, robotics & IoT
Hope Innovations – Agritech & foodtech
Lite-1 – Sustainability & cleantech
Neurabody – Healthtech & wellness
PharmaServ Inc – Healthtech & wellness
Sigen AI – AI & machine learning
Other notable participants included VodaSafe, Wave Connect, CODA, Favoland Canada Inc., FutureTwin AI, Hallo, HomeBook, Hubjoy, Kaabo, and Kiwi Charge, representing sectors from e-commerce and education to proptech and sustainability. These startups exemplified the diversity and innovation PITCH seeks to highlight, demonstrating that creativity and ingenuity know no bounds.
One of the most exciting aspects of PITCH is the caliber of its judges. The 2025 panel featured leading figures from venture capital, corporate innovation, and global investment. Some of the judges included:
Edith Yeung, General Partner, Race Capital, USA
Yasmeen Ahmed, Co-founder & Managing Partner, FPV Ventures, USA
Lisa Yu, General Partner, Ninety Nine, USA
Mike Sigal, Founder, Sigal Ventures, UK
Ana Casaca, Director of Innovation, European Union, Portugal
Ryan Youhan, Emerging Growth Practice, KPMG, USA
Emily Fontaine, Global Head of Venture Capital, IBM, USA
Gautam Rege, Co-founder, Josh Software, India
Sonia Vora, CHRO (former), Gates Foundation, USA
Will Wilson, Co-founder & CEO, Antithesis, USA
Audrey Marie-Nely, Associate Vice President, RBCx, Canada
This panel reflects the global perspective and expertise that PITCH brings to early-stage startups, offering participants valuable feedback and potential opportunities to engage with investors worldwide.
The experience of participating in PITCH has had a lasting impact on past winners. Christian Pedrosa, Co-founder & CEO of DigAÍ, the Web Summit Rio 2025 PITCH winner, stated:
“We’re here to show what we’ve built, Web Summit is amazing for that.”
Similarly, Federico Trotta, Co-founder & CEO of Metalchemy, a Web Summit Qatar 2025 PITCH winner, said:
“The experience at Web Summit has been amazing. We did not expect to get this far as we do not work with software.”
João Guimarães, CEO of Intuitivo and 2024 PITCH winner, emphasized the value of being part of the ecosystem:
“Just to be with other people from the ecosystem is the best part of Web Summit.”
These testimonials highlight how PITCH not only provides a competitive platform but also fosters connections, learning, and community among early-stage founders.
Startups applying for the 2026 PITCH competition have the chance to gain global visibility, investor attention, and mentorship opportunities that can propel their ventures forward. With over $100,000 in prizes up for grabs, aspiring entrepreneurs have the chance to gain financial support, mentorship, and recognition for their entrepreneurial talent.
Are you a startup founder or someone with a groundbreaking idea you’re eager to turn into a business? The Desjardins Startup Prize provides a platform to showcase your entrepreneurial vision. The competition identifies the most promising startups and connects founders with a network of experienced investors, industry professionals, and fellow innovators. By participating, applicants gain exposure to potential funding, valuable mentorship, and an opportunity to refine their business strategies for real-world impact.
The prize is not just about financial rewards—it’s about launching ideas that can change industries and contribute meaningfully to society. From tech innovations to social enterprises, the competition celebrates creativity, ingenuity, and the drive to solve real-world problems.
The 2026 Desjardins Startup Prize competition will culminate in a week-long celebration of entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto during Entrepreneurship Week, taking place from March 2–6, 2026. Ten finalists will be selected to participate in the pitch competition, where they will have five minutes to present their business ideas to a panel of distinguished investor judges.
Participants are divided into two categories based on their startup’s stage and funding:
Early-Stage Startups: For ventures that have received less than $50,000 in cumulative funding or investment and have earned less than $25,000 in revenue as of November 29, 2025.
Later-Stage Startups: For ventures that have raised between $50,000 and $250,000 in cumulative funding and generated less than $100,000 in revenue as of November 29, 2025.
This dual-category structure ensures that startups at different stages of growth can compete fairly and receive recognition appropriate to their development level.
The 2026 competition continues the tradition of offering substantial prizes and support to winners. In each category, three main prizes will be awarded along with an additional People’s Choice award of $4,000, known as the Dongjun Wang Family True Blue Prize. This prize allows the community to recognize a startup that resonates with the public and celebrates entrepreneurial potential.
For Early-Stage startups, the prizes are:
1st Place: $15,000
2nd Place: $10,000
3rd Place: $5,000
People’s Choice: $4,000
For Later-Stage startups, the prizes are even more significant:
1st Place: $40,000
2nd Place: $20,000
3rd Place: $10,000
People’s Choice: $4,000
Beyond the cash prizes, all winners receive additional support designed to accelerate their growth, including up to $5,000 in legal counsel from Cassels, two passes to Startup Fest in Montreal, and an ONRamp membership. These benefits offer startups crucial guidance and networking opportunities that extend far beyond the competition itself.
The 2025 Desjardins Startup Prize celebrated innovative startups across a range of industries. In the Early-Stage category, NanoMorphix captured first place with $15,000, followed by Medium AI and Vrit. Elev8 & Perform received the People’s Choice award.
In the Later-Stage category, Flow Robotics won $40,000 for first place, while Dinamik Therapies and Re:Pair Genomics took home $20,000 and $10,000, respectively. Flow Robotics also secured the People’s Choice award, reflecting the strong support and excitement from the entrepreneurial community. These past winners illustrate the caliber of innovation and potential recognized by the Desjardins Startup Prize.
Applications for the 2026 Desjardins Startup Prize open on October 14, 2025, and close on November 24, 2025. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications early and ensure all required materials are complete. The finalists will be notified in advance of the pitch competition, which is scheduled for March 5, 2026.
The application process is straightforward but competitive. Applicants are evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, market potential, scalability, and overall impact. Founders should be prepared to demonstrate how their venture addresses a real need and why it stands out in its respective market.
To ensure fairness and transparency, eligibility criteria and funding thresholds are clearly defined. Early-Stage startups must have received less than $50,000 in cumulative funding and earned less than $25,000 in revenue, while Later-Stage startups must fall within the $50,000–$250,000 funding range with less than $100,000 in revenue.
The judging process is rigorous, with a panel of investor judges evaluating each pitch for innovation, feasibility, and growth potential. The People’s Choice award provides an additional opportunity for community engagement and recognition, giving startups a platform to gain support beyond the judging panel.
The Desjardins Startup Prize is more than a competition—it’s a springboard for entrepreneurs ready to take their ventures to the next level. Participants benefit from mentorship, investor connections, financial rewards, and visibility within a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Whether you are an aspiring founder with a concept in its earliest stages or a startup founder looking to scale, the competition offers invaluable opportunities to accelerate growth and make meaningful connections. In the modern digital economy, content is king — but creating it can be a full-time job. What if you could leverage AI to generate high-quality content while you sleep, building engagement, leads, and revenue around the clock? The good news is, today’s AI tools make this not only possible but surprisingly simple.
Here are five ways ( PLUS a BONUS STRATEGY) to automate content creation and distribution so you can focus on strategy while the AI does the heavy lifting.
One of the simplest ways to start automating content is with AI blog generators. Tools like Jasper, Copy.ai, and Writesonic can draft full-length articles, newsletters, or product descriptions with minimal input. By feeding the AI your target keywords, tone preferences, and desired article length, it can produce polished, ready-to-publish content in minutes.
How to maximize results:
Set clear guidelines for voice and style so the AI aligns with your brand.
Schedule posts in advance using a content management system (CMS) like WordPress or HubSpot.
Combine AI drafting with light human editing for maximum quality.
The result? Consistent, SEO-friendly content published automatically, keeping your audience engaged even when you’re offline.
EventBot AI takes content automation to the next level, particularly for businesses seeking both engagement and revenue generation. Here’s what EventBot can do:
Business-Specific Content: Trained on your business data, EventBot crafts content relevant to your industry and brand.
Third-Party Perspective: It writes content as a neutral journalist, building credibility and trust.
Social Media Sharing: Posts are automatically shared across your channels, maximizing reach.
Embedded Links & Affiliate Tracking: Onboarding forms, affiliate IDs, and registration links can be embedded directly into the content.
Monetization: EventBot pays $1 per opt-in registration and can share up to 70% of ad revenue, effectively turning your content into a passive income engine.
This tool is ideal for entrepreneurs and marketers who want automated, monetized content that builds their audience while requiring minimal hands-on effort.
Video content drives engagement like nothing else, and AI now allows you to produce professional-looking videos without a camera or editing software. Tools like Synthesia, Pictory, and InVideo can:
Convert blog posts or articles into video scripts.
Generate AI avatars or voiceovers to narrate the content.
Add captions, transitions, and branded graphics automatically.
Pro tip: Repurpose your EventBot articles into video content. AI-generated videos can be scheduled across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, creating another layer of automated visibility.
Even if you have amazing content, it’s useless if it doesn’t reach your audience. AI-powered social media management tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, and Later can:
Automatically schedule posts across multiple platforms.
Recommend optimal posting times based on engagement analytics.
Suggest hashtags, captions, and image placement for maximum reach.
Curate AI-generated content into themed campaigns without manual intervention.
Pairing EventBot AI with a scheduling tool ensures that your content is distributed automatically, with no gaps in visibility. Your social media accounts can function 24/7, attracting followers, subscribers, and leads while you sleep.
Email remains one of the highest-ROI channels for businesses. AI-driven email platforms like Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, and Klaviyo can:
Generate personalized email copy based on user behavior and engagement patterns.
Segment audiences dynamically to send highly relevant campaigns.
Optimize subject lines, headlines, and CTAs using predictive AI.
Trigger automated drip sequences or follow-ups based on interactions.
For example, an EventBot AI article with embedded opt-in forms can automatically feed new leads into an email sequence. AI will then nurture those leads with content, offers, or affiliate promotions — all on autopilot.
The benefit: Your email marketing works continuously, delivering relevant content and generating revenue without constant manual effort.
Creating content is time-consuming—but with Perplexity Comet and Pamper Me Network’s EventBot AI, you can automate creation, distribution, and monetization all in one workflow. Here’s how it works step by step:

Step 2: Upload Content to EventBot via Pamper Me Network
Create an EventBot account on Pamper Me Network.
Upload the content you created with Comet. EventBot acts as the automation engine.
Step 3: Automate Distribution
Once the minimum requirement has been met. EventBot automatically posts your content across multiple channels: social media platforms, email sequences, and even affiliate networks.
It schedules posts at optimal times for maximum engagement without manual intervention.
Step 4: Monetize Engagement
Embedded affiliate links, ad tracking, and registration forms allow EventBot to generate revenue directly from your content.
You earn automatically per click, opt-in, or ad impression, turning each piece of content into a passive income stream.
Step 5: Track Performance and Optimize
EventBot collects engagement metrics, clicks, conversions, and revenue data.
Use these insights to refine your content strategy, and feed new topics back into Perplexity Comet for even smarter AI-generated content.
Why This Combination Works:

EventBot AI: Handles automated distribution, affiliate integration, and monetization.
Together, you get a full-cycle content machine: research → creation → distribution → monetization → optimization.

Imagine a typical day for your AI-driven content system:
Perplexity Comet and EventBot AI writes a business-specific article in the early hours.
The article is automatically shared on social media with embedded links and affiliate tracking.
AI video platforms convert the content into a short video posted on Instagram and TikTok.
Social scheduling tools ensure posts appear at the best times for your audience.
Email automation follows up with new subscribers, nurturing leads, and maximizing conversions.
By morning, your business has a fresh stream of published content, engaged followers, and potentially new leads and revenue — all while you slept.
The combination of content automation and AI-driven distribution:
Saves Time: You no longer need to create, post, and schedule manually.
Increases Reach: Automated posting ensures your content reaches audiences across multiple channels consistently.
Generates Passive Income: Tools like EventBot AI monetize your content directly through affiliate tracking and ad revenue sharing.
Maintains Quality: AI can produce polished, brand-aligned content without losing your business voice.
Supports Scalability: You can grow your content output exponentially without hiring a full team.
Content creation doesn’t have to be exhausting or time-consuming. By leveraging AI tools like EventBot AI, automated blog writers, video platforms, social schedulers, and email automation, your business can operate a content engine 24/7.
The future of content is not just AI-assisted — it’s AI-managed. Those who embrace these tools today will enjoy more visibility, engagement, and revenue tomorrow — all without sacrificing sleep, creativity, or sanity.
Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur or running a growing team, integrating AI into your content workflow is no longer optional — it’s a smart strategy for sustainable, automated growth.

This podcast explores the reality of pain, truth, self-discovery, and healing through poetry, writing, and music to help inspire us to find ourselves throughout our journey, empower ourselves with our experiences and grow into the highest version of ourselves we were destined to be.
From discovering what true love is about for the first time or knowing that past experiences in love do not define us or the definition of love but rather that it has incredible moments. It shares the discovery of finding the courage to be who you are in a world so full of stigma on what is "perfect", what is "acceptable" and what is not. And delves into the reality of knowing ourselves, first and foremost, before we can give of ourselves to others.
It shares insights into knowing it's okay to not change for anyone while seeing that anything is possible through hope and finding inner peace through wisdom. It depicts the discovery of knowing that there isn't always darkness because there is light inside of us all and to stand tall no matter what with confidence. It encourages us to push through it all with undeniable strength and to know it can be done with courage. It embodies the power to know it always matters through belief and reminds us that life exists through love and that it is okay to give it all through passion.
In going on a self-discovery journey, we begin to uncover the true essence of our soul, unconditional love, and that the light each of us can bring to this world will transform lives by inspiring one heart at a time.
The Stoop podcast digs into stories that are not always shared out in the open. Hosts Leila Day and Hana Baba start conversations and provide professionally-reported stories about what it means to be black and how we talk about blackness. Come hang out on The Stoop as we dialog about the diaspora.
