Joy serves as an Author, Speaker and Advisor in the Blockchain space. She is the CEO of Lava Blockchain Technologies Inc., an early stage fintech company with the vision and ability to transform cryptocurrencies to functional currencies. Joy’s background is rooted in the education, both public and private, and real estate sectors. Her primary competencies are in marketing, media, speaking, negotiations, conflict resolution, and consulting.

Joy has authored two books on Entrepreneurship and the future based on the principles of crowdfunding and crowdsourcing: Crowd Power in the Age of Human Potential (2015), foreword by Sherwood Neiss (leader of the Jobs Act), and Soul Joy: Musings for a New World.

Prior to her focus on media and innovative technologies, Joy has over 13 years of experience as an educational leader in public schools and has taught K-12. She received a Masters of Education from the University of British Columbia (2002) and a Real Estate License from the Sauder School of Business (2005). Her expertise includes administration and management of schools, including accreditation and licensing.
