At its heart, the Clean Charge Challenge is a campaign that empowers EV drivers to make charging decisions that are better for the planet — and for the electrical grid. Participants simply download the BluWave-ai EV Everywhere app, link their electric vehicle, and start charging at optimal times when the energy mix is cleaner and grid demand is lower.

Each smart charging session earns BluPoints, a digital point system that reflects both your participation and the sustainability impact of your charging choices. The more BluPoints you earn, the better your odds of winning. Reaching certain BluPoints thresholds unlocks higher prize tiers:

• 2,500 BluPoints: Eligible for the $1,000 Grand Prize

• 5,000 BluPoints: Eligible for $500 prizes

• 10,000 BluPoints: Eligible for $50 prizes

Charging your EV during off-peak hours — when renewable sources like wind and solar are most active and fossil fuel reliance is lowest — earns you more BluPoints. It’s an easy, fun, and impactful way to participate in the clean energy movement from the comfort of your driveway.

Participating in the Clean Charge Challenge is simple and completely free:

   Visit ev-everywhere.ca/clean-charge to download the BluWave-ai EV Everywhere App. It’s available on major mobile platforms and takes just minutes to set up.

2. Link Your EV
   Connect your compatible electric vehicle to the app through its onboarding process. You can also link your utility account to track your energy use and maximize your BluPoints.

3. Charge Smarter
   Use the app’s real-time insights to plan your charging sessions during cleaner, lower-demand periods. The app’s built-in “BluScore” helps you identify the best times to plug in.

4. Earn BluPoints
   Each action you take in the app — linking your EV, configuring a departure plan, manually entering a charging session, or checking your BluScore — earns you BluPoints. The cleaner and more efficient your charging behavior, the more you’ll earn.

5. Win Prizes!
   Reach a BluPoints tier before December 15, 2025, and you’ll automatically be entered into prize draws happening on December 18, 2025. Winners will be contacted by email and must answer a skill-testing question to claim their prize.

There’s no purchase necessary and one entry per household. Participants can even enter by mail by submitting a short essay on reducing household greenhouse gas emissions — proof that BluWave-ai values awareness and creativity as much as technology.

The odds of winning depend on how many participants reach each BluPoints tier — but since not all entrants will hit the top levels, the chances for engaged users are quite favorable. For example, if fewer than 400 people reach the 2,500-point level, odds for the $1,000 prize improve to 1 in 400.
