Curious Refuge is accepting submissions for its AI Horror Film Competition, giving AI filmmakers an opportunity to showcase original horror projects and compete for a combined $12,000 USD in cash prizes, plus courses, merchandise, promotional exposure and other benefits.
Participants must create an original AI-powered horror film and use Epidemic Sound exclusively for the music and sound effects in their submission. Entrants are also required to share their finished film publicly on at least one social platform and tag Curious Refuge and Epidemic Sound using #CuriousRefuge and #EpidemicSound.

How Winners Are Selected
Each judge will select first-, second- and third-place films. Votes are scored as follows:
- 1st Place vote: 5 points
- 2nd Place vote: 3 points
- 3rd Place vote: 1 point
The combined scores determine the first-, second- and third-place winners. After finalists are selected and posted online, the public will vote for the Audience Favorite.
The judging panel includes representatives and filmmakers from Curious Refuge and the AI filmmaking community, including Shelby Ward, Verena Puhm, Spooky Dan, Chris White and Dave Clark.
Eligibility & Submission Requirements
Participants must create an Epidemic Sound account and use Epidemic Sound exclusively for the music and sound effects included in their film. A 30-day trial is available through the organizer's promotion, and previous trial users may be eligible for an additional promotional month using the organizer's supplied code.
The completed film must also be shared on at least one public platform such as YouTube, Instagram or X/Twitter. Entrants should tag Curious Refuge and Epidemic Sound and include:

Important Usage Terms
By entering, participants permit Curious Refuge and Epidemic Sound to use submitted projects for competition-related marketing and promotion. Creators are expected to be credited when their work is used.
Curious Refuge may also include submitted films in compilation videos, online showcases, social content or event presentations celebrating competition entries and winners.
Curious Refuge reserves the right to disqualify submissions where there are concerns involving fairness, cheating or other competition-integrity issues.
