Black History Month, the subject of great debate. Some think it unfair to devote an entire month to a single demographic. Others suggest we should celebrate Black history throughout the entire year. It has also been said, setting aside only one month gives license to neglect the historical accomplishments of black people. In spite of the debate, these 28 days inspire many persons to achieve greatness.
Celebrate with us, while we showcase the upcoming talents and achievements of the African Caribbean diaspora within the GTA. This all-day showcase endeavors to support and grow the community of black talent, arts, and culture. Everyone is bound to enjoy.
Featuring talents from all over the GTA which will include:
- The vocal styling of Ray Robinson and Aiona.
- Art styles showcased from OCAD and Regional Arts students throughout the GTA.
- Indulge in the culinary refinements of Recherche and many more.
- Witness the dapper runway walk with fashion designers and their models, adorn yourself with their elaborate creations.
Proceeds from this event will be going to the Artxi Scholarship Program.
