The Jamaica Social Stock Exchange (JSSE) was established in January 2019 as a limited liability company of the Jamaica Stock Exchange. It seeks to connect social impact projects from organizations operating in the social sector to capital from the private sector, diaspora, and philanthropic individuals.
Based in Jamaica, the JSSE has an international reach with the goal of supporting the needs of social sector organizations, everywhere.
According to Nora M. Blake, JSSE Project Manager, “The JSSE’s Vision is to assist Jamaica in creating a robust and sustainable social sector by 2030. Its mission is to enable long term sustainability of Social Sector Organizations (SSOs) while forging international alliances with media, event planners, donors and volunteers.”
Building on the core values of integrity, transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability, the JSSE plans to spearhead a continuous effort to provide long term funding for the development of the social sector in Jamaica.
To support its global mission, the JSSE announced today a strategic technology and marketing partnership with the Pamper Me Network, a Toronto-based software development and content marketing company.
