Meridian Credit Union is once again celebrating Ontario’s entrepreneurial spirit with the 5th Annual Small Business BIG Impact Awards. This year, Meridian is awarding a total of $200,000 to recognize small businesses that are making a meaningful difference in their communities.
Supporting Local Business Across Ontario
Meridian will present 15 awards of $10,000 each to impactful small businesses operating in the following regions:

Southern Ontario

Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Niagara / Hamilton

Indigenous Entrepreneurs
Each winner will be celebrated for their creativity, resilience, and the positive changes they bring to their local economies.
Ontario Votes Award – $50,000 Grand Prize
One outstanding small business will also receive the prestigious Ontario Votes Award, which comes with a $50,000 prize. This top honour will be determined by community voting, giving Ontarians the chance to rally behind the entrepreneurs who inspire them the most.
Deadline for Nominations
Nominations are now open, and the deadline to nominate is October 31. Meridian invites residents, customers, and supporters to help shine a spotlight on the hardworking entrepreneurs who fuel Ontario’s growth.
