Ignite Capital is an annual competition that invites emerging Ontario entrepreneurs who have limited access to capital, to compete for up to $25,000 in funding (combination of grant/loan). Those that meet the criteria are invited to submit a business plan and two years of financials in one of four categories – women, immigrants, youth and Start Me Up categories. The applications are then reviewed by the internal Ignite team and a panel of business experts, shortlisting to three applicants per category who participate in a live pitch.
