Recently, Prime Minister Holness was seen paying homage to his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, in a gesture that—critics say—symbolises more than diplomacy.

Some allege that the visit signified a deeper alignment with Israeli interests, and possibly foreign‐ownership trajectories for Jamaica. In the backdrop of this visit, we see three intersecting themes worthy of serious public debate: the rise of the global “smart cities 2030” agenda, the fear of an AI monster looming over humanity, and the alternative promise of freedom and revenue through the novel frameworks of Spacial Living Quantum and SAHOP (“Stand Alone, Hands-free, Operating Program”) with its embedded model of AI Mining.

Of significance for young women creators, thinkers and digital‐natives, this is a story about potential empowerment—or systemic capture. ---

1. The Holness–Israel link and the global smart-city context In January 2017, Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness made a three-day visit to Israel, meeting Netanyahu and talking water-resources, security and agricultural cooperation. (1)

At the same time, Israel publicly thanked Jamaica for abstaining from a UNESCO vote that criticised Israel’s ties to Jerusalem’s holy sites. (2)

Meanwhile, Jamaica under the Vision 2030 framework (and other development plans) has been signalling smart-city style ambitions: some talk of “purpose-built” new cities in places like St Elizabeth. (3)

Yet these myths endure because they provide emotionally satisfying explanations for terrifying events. On the other side, the “smart city” concept is real: sensors, IoT networks, data integration, surveillance concerns. Critics argue that when governments adopt these technologies, they may inadvertently—or deliberately—trade privacy and autonomy for efficiency.

If we accept that Jamaica is entering such an infrastructure‐intensive phase, we must ask: will land, water, housing and rights of ordinary Jamaicans be preserved—or will these become assets in a foreign-led smart-city portfolio? This is especially critical for women who are often disproportionately affected by housing insecurity, land tenure issues and social change.

3. From fear of the AI monster to control of the AI opportunity There’s a pervasive anxiety: that AI will become the monster that controls us, rather than the tool we control. But this framing is incomplete. The truth: AI itself is neither monster nor angel—the operator (humanity) holds the lever. In the proposed model of “AI Mining” and the Spacial Living Quantum that I have developed, we see a transformational alternative.

On one hand: AI used as a glue of surveillance, tracking behaviours, extracting value from users for platforms without return. On the other hand: AI integrated into social platforms as value-creators, revenue generators, empowerment tools.

For example: the model of SAHOP AI Mining on the PMN Network (“Pamper Me Network”) offers users a chance to mine value—social, economic, creative—through meaningful interactions, content creation, community building. This flips the “attention extraction” model into an “attention expansion + reward” model. Young women—whether creators, community builders, professionals—can benefit from such platforms. Rather than being passive users, they become active participants and earners.

The Spacial Living Quantum concept positions the digital environment as a co-created space of human & AI co-existence. The freedom with SAHOP means not being trapped by legacy systems—but leveraging a new paradigm.

4. Retirement revenue stream, freedom and inclusive tech One of the most compelling angles: the possibility of building *retirement revenue streams* via platforms like PMN and SAHOP. Traditional retirement planning often excludes young women and informal-economy workers. AI Mining provides a way to convert ongoing social/creative activity into income—not just once, but repeatedly.

It’s freedom: freedom to shape your digital life, freedom to earn without needing large followings or expensive equipment, freedom to tap into the quantum social-economy. This is a story of inclusion. The tech and digital economy often focus on “big men, big investment, high risk.” But SAHOP and the Spacial Living Quantum model create a user-centred, community-centred, female-friendly ecosystem. It says: “Yes, you too can build a revenue-stream while living your life, leveraging your networks, your voice, your relationships.”

5. Weaving the narrative: Jamaica at the crossroads So what does this all mean for Jamaica, for women, for creators, for society? * Jamaican citizens are witnessing major global and national shifts: foreign partnerships (Israel–Jamaica), smart-city agendas, AI transformations. * There is a real risk that these shifts will leave the average Jamaican—especially women, young entrepreneurs, informal workers—on the sidelines unless they actively engage. 

The “AI monster” narrative (fear-based) is less useful than a *freedom-based* narrative: the one I present via SAHOP + AI Mining + Spacial Living Quantum. * Jamaica could choose to be a passive recipient of external infrastructure and data-models—or an active participant in building inclusive, rewarding digital ecosystems. For young, creative women especially: this is your moment. Lead the social economy, build meaningful networks, generate value, create income, future-proof your retirement—not as an afterthought but as part of your digital social life.

Conclusion: from suspicion to empowerment

Yes, it is legitimate to question whether Jamaica’s direction under Prime Minister Holness is moving toward foreign-ownership models, smart-city surveillance architectures, and data-driven systems that privilege outside actors. 

Yet it’s equally important to recognise a counter-narrative: one where *you* control how technology, AI, and social engagement serve *you*. Where SAHOP enables hands-free operation, stature in the digital space, meaningful income streams. Where the Spacial Living Quantum defines not just “where we exist” but how we exist—connected, creative, free.

For our creative youths, our future, this isn’t just hype. It’s a launchpad. Build your networks, mine your social value, demand transparency in your country’s tech infrastructure, and participate in shaping a digital future where Jamaica leads—not follows.

Because in the end, the greatest question isn’t *who controls the smart-city or AI**—it’s  *who knows how to turn those tools into freedom, revenue and legacy*. And to my mind, SAHOP, AI Mining, PMN Network and the Spacial Living Quantum give you that path.
