Since 1775, 2,852,901+ Americans have died or were wounded in combat. These brave men and women have given or risked their lives for our freedom. However, unfortunately, governments are not doing their best to honour and care for them upon return.
Here are some facts that will surprise, the heck out of you:
- Veteran unemployment is nearly twice the national average especially Young Veterans who joined the military after high school.
- Vets often don’t have easily transferable civilian skills, nor do they have the network of civilian business and social contacts that other young people have.
- One out of every three Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans suffers from PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or a combination of the two due to combat trauma.
- Upon returning home, our troops are not receiving proper medical and psychological evaluation or counseling.
- There is a backlog of 1.2 million claims at the Veterans Administration.
- Many Veterans who are disabled and unable to work due to war trauma are waiting months and years for benefits they were promised and have earned.
- A third of all homeless citizens in America are Veterans.
- Veterans with distinguished, even heroic, military records are ending up living on the streets.

In an effort to help veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder find affordable housing, secure employment and identify alternative income sources, TalkPix, the Universal Love Order (ULO) and a growing list of partners have joined forces with Project Renewal, a 501 (C) (3) Not-For-Profit Corporation.
We need your help to honour Veterans who have risked their lives to guarantee our freedom.
SUPPORT NEEDED TO CONTINUE DELIVERING THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:
Since 2001 Project Renewal has managed a variety of programs designed specifically to address the plight of the nation’s homeless, as well as the brave men and women that have represented the United States in combat.
