Rank contestants by votes, views, tracked activity and media profile strength.
Registrations and upgrades lead the formula.
Use the “How Trending Works” tab for the full breakdown.
Trending contestants will appear once entries collect votes, views or media activity.
The most important variables in the contest are supporter registrations and upgrades. If a user signs up to support a candidate, that registration accounts for 35% of the trending model. If a supporter upgrades, that upgrade accounts for 25% of the trending model.
The remaining 40% is divided across votes, views, tracked activity, shares, and media completion. This encourages contestants to tell their fans to sign up, support them, vote, share, and upgrade their accounts to increase the contestant’s chance of winning.
Payment-based upgrade tracking uses confirmed callback records when available. Because the callback table stores contest_id, user_id, purchase_type, amount, currency, and status — but not entry_id directly — upgrades are attributed to a contestant when the paying user also has tracked support activity for that contestant.
