Don’t give up on your dream. Stop betting your life on it.
Instead of asking someone to make a massive commitment to an idea, career, business, creative project, or mission, we help them turn it into a two-week experiment that produces evidence.
What the event is about:
The Two-Week Bet introduces people to a practical way of pursuing meaningful ideas while reducing risk. Participants learn how behavioral forces such as conformity, fear of rejection, loss aversion, sunk costs, perfectionism, ego, and cognitive dissonance can distort decisions about when to persist, pivot, or stop.
Rather than relying entirely on motivation or intuition, we ask:
What is the smallest real-world experiment that could give you better information within two weeks?
Audience:
Creatives, entrepreneurs, founders, builders, independent professionals, and people who have something meaningful they want to pursue but are stuck between continuing, changing direction, or giving up.
Participant Outcome:
Leave with one clearly defined two-week bet: a problem or opportunity, an observable outcome, a short execution window, and criteria for evaluating what happens.
Connection to Project Surfboard:
The webinar introduces the philosophy. Surfboard provides the environment for doing it through community, accountability, working groups, tiger teams, and short execution cycles.
Connection to I’ve Got Problems:
This is also an early practical expression of the ideas behind my upcoming book, I’ve Got Problems, which explores what problems and human behavior can reveal about what’s actually happening beneath our explanations of ourselves.
