Research reveals that 80% of crimes committed are directly or indirectly related to some form of alcohol or drug use and abuse.
Fortunately, it is possible to teach individuals how to break the cycle of violence and addiction that is directly contributing to their self-destructive behaviour. In the end, communities will become safer as crime is reduced.
This is where the Break Free Family Centre, a registered Canadian Charity comes in.
In fact, the Break Free Family Centre works in partnership with the Pamper Me Network to raise the funds needed to operate “The House That Mothers Built” Transitional House and in doing so, break the vicious cycle of addictions and address the underlying causes of Mental Health Illness, Suicide, Youth and Gang Violence.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE “THE HOUSE THAT MOTHERS BUILT” A REALITY
The Break Free Family Centre needs $1,000,000 to open the doors of “The House That Mothers Built” Transitional House. Once The House That Mothers Built is opened, youth that are transitioning from the justice system will have a secure place to call their home where they will receive assistance to be re-integrated and serve as productive members of society.
To support the purchase and operational budget of “The House That Mothers Built” Transitional House, the Break Free Family Centre is organizing a series of social events including Border Patrol Part 2 featuring Andrea ‘Delcitaa’ Wright, Ruschiene Deidrick, Christopher McFarlane, Deon Silvera and Gertrude Campbell.
Presented by Break Free Family Centre, Border Patrol Part 2 is best defined as a shocking nightmare, peppered with unexpected twists, scandals and betrayals. Follow the life of Corporal Del as she is kicked out of the security force, learn what trouble Red Peas has gotten into and roll over laughing as the hilarious lives of Miss G and Miss Myrtle are revealed.
Not surprisingly, Border Patrol Part 2 boasts another great performance by Andrea ‘Delcitaa’ Wright. With the bulk of the proceeds received from Border Patrol Part 2 donated to the Break Free Family Centre and used to help break the cycle of recidivism, the play is an amazing opportunity to support the development of transitional housing for youth in need while getting a “belly full of laughs”.
The play opens June 2, 2017 with additional shows held June 3, 2017 and June 4, 2017. Tickets are affordably priced at $35 and can be purchased at http://www.enjoyborderpatrol.com and at local ticketing outlets.
