Each year the lives of hundred of Black men and women are extinguished at the hands of the police. This is one life too many. In fact, 2015 was marked by countless high-profile incidences of police brutality against minorities. These incidents included Samuel Dubose in Ohio, Freddie Gray in Baltimore and Walter Scott in South Carolina. Worse still, it is extremely difficult to assess the true impact of police brutality without hard data; especially, since most governments lack complete tracking or record system of how many civilians are killed by the police.

ABOUT T-SHIRT DESIGNERS:
Devon Haughton is an actor, screenwriter, playwright and dub poet hailing from Spanish Town St Catherine. He was inspired by the late Louise Bennett with whom he had a very close relationship up until the time of her death. His recent engagements include : promoting his 'Hands Don't Shoot" t-shirts and music video which promises to be thought provoking but still touching on social issues where "black lives" are concerned. He was inspired to do the song in light of the recent police shootings and is in no way affiliated with "black lives matter" . It is from the music video that Devon was inspired to do the "Hands Up Don't Shoot" T-shirts.
The t-shirts were designed by Arva-Dee McNish a talented and creative graduate of the University Of Technology Jamaica where she earned a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Arva-Dee who is also apart of the Super Sonnexx movie campaign is currently pursuing a Masters in Competency Based Educational training at the University Of Technology Jamaica.
